Measured Against Reality

Maybe childhood isn't a sex crime?

A little bit of good news in the case I mentioned earlier, but not nearly enough to convince me that this country might regain its sanity. We seriously need to round up all these people who bring felony sex offender charges against children and lock them up, because they're the danger to society.

  • This is disgusting. "It was just damage control, I'll revoke the sentence!" Yeah, that's great... but how about the fact that these kids have spent several days locked up with REAL criminals? Drug pushers, vandals, violent people. I've been in juvies and it ain't pretty. It's certainly not somewhere I would send a couple of boys with NO history of behavioral problems. How are they going to come out? What have their learned while they were there? What are they going to teach their classmates when they come back?

  • Talking to children about sexual abuse can be a difficult subject for parents to address.
