Religion is crazy

I absolutely had to comment on this story. The best line:

"We've spent many years coming up with ways to... get around some of the more restrictive rules of our Faith."

In a close second is this one:

"On behalf of My People, I'm really sorry. We're not all like that."

And his Holocaust-Survivor Father, sitting in the chair reading a People magazine, looked up, shaking his head.

"Yeah. Those Jews are nuts."

It's not their fault, just their crazy-ass religion.

  • Wow!

So, what if the situation had been more dire? What if, instead of just being locked out of the house, one of the children had had an accident and was bleeding to death? Would she still have stood around, waiting for the correct questions to be asked? And, if she did, doesn't that make her a negligent parent? I can't believe the gall of that family to ask perfect strangers to help in such labor-intensive ways. Ugh...religion isn't just crazy, sometimes it's disgusting, as well.
